报告摘要:Strong evidence of the existence of the stochastic gravitational wave background (SGWB) has been reported recently by the North American Nanohertz Observatory for Gravitational Waves, the Parkes Pulsar Timing Array, the European Pulsar Timing Array, and the Chinese Pulsar Timing Array Collaborations. The Bayesian posteriors of the SGWB amplitude and spectrum are compatible with astrophysical predictions for the SGWB from a population of supermassive black hole binaries (SMBHBs). We discuss the modifications arising from the extra scalar or vector radiation to the characteristic dimensionless strain of gravitational waves from SMBHBs and explore the possibility of detecting charges carried by supermassive black holes in modified gravity.

报告人介绍:郜青,女,教授。2015年12月获华中科技大学理论物理博士学位。2016年05月进入西南大学物理科学与技术学院工作。2018年8月至2019年8月在美国加州理工学院做访问学者。研究方向为引力理论、宇宙学等。目前在国内外期刊上(PLB,PRD,JCAP,SCPMA,CQG,EPJC,MNRAS等)已发表论文30余篇,其中3篇入选ESI高影响论文。
