Physics is the first level key disciplines of Chongqing Municipality and key disciplines of “Double First-Class disciplines construction project” of Chongqing University. And our Physics Major was approved as the First-Class Doctoral Program in 2011. Additionally, in 2014, The Mobile Post-Doctoral Station of Physics was also approved. More importantly, physics as a discipline has entered top 1% in the ESI disciplines ranking.In the fourth round disciplines assessment, the physics discipline got the B rank and tied for the 26th place in nationwide. The college has The National Experimental Teaching Demonstrating Center for Undergraduate Experimental Physics, The Chongqing Key Laboratory of Soft Condensed Matter Physics and Smart Materials, The Key Laboratory of Chongqing Regular Higher Education Institutions of Materials Physics, Chongqing Research Center of the Contaminated Sit Remediation Technology, the Chongqing Municipality science education Base and the Youngsters Scientific Training Base.
